From the Centre outwards ...

Sometimes, to solve a puzzle, it can be worth starting from the end-point and working backward. Ask ourselves, what would, the solution look like? Then find a pathway from that point, back to where we are now … kind of reverse-engineering it! This is a great strategy for working out new pathways to old ‘finishes’ on the mat. Start with the ‘finish’ you like, then ‘back away’ from it along different pathways, to find new ‘starting points’. Many of us would have used this idea as kids - you might remember starting from the centre of one of those maze-puzzles, and working your way backward to the entrance - job done!  JBW
